Claxton Farm’s new “Barn”

It was so tragic when the old Claxton Farm tobacco barn burned down last October but they have done an amazing job on the rebuild and now it’s even more user friendly for events with concrete floors, a prep kitchen, upgraded bathrooms, a fireplace and so much more. The views are the same as always (ok, maybe they are better too now that there is a side porch and rocking chairs where you can enjoy a spread of wild flowers in front of the pond). One of my favorite features at this location is the bon fire….nothing says special event like perfectly roasted S’mores, but maybe that’s just my opinion or maybe I am just long over due for a camping trip! Check out the new upgraded event venue, with the same ol’ rustic charm!

Ok, here are those wild flowers I was talking about. They are just so pretty!

Bed and Breakfast at Tiffany Hill

Dusty and Mark were so awesome to photograph. Not only are they tons of fun and so photogenic, they are friends of mine which makes shooting them even more fun than usual. The Bed & Breakfast at Tiffany Hill is the perfect location for some intimate wedding portraits with it’s southern charm and lush grounds. I adore this couple and this location! See for yourself!

Candlelight Wedding at Homewood

I’ve shot weddings at Homewood before and it’s always beautiful but this is the first time I’ve shot a candlelight ceremony there. Laura and George incorporated so many sentimental and unique moments into their ceremony including an original poem written for the occasion by Laura’s mom, a Native American blessing, and light blessings from friends and family as each person placed a lit candle on the alter.

Amanda and Dominic have been married for over a year now but they are so gosh darn cute together that we asked them to model for us for a promo shoot for Haywood Park Hotel.
